Susquehanna County Historical Society and Free Library Association is proud to offer you best-selling and classic eBooks and audiobooks available 24/7 from the Northeast Pennsylvania Digital Library. This service is free with your Susquehanna County Library card. 

 

You can access hundreds of downloadable eBooks and audiobooks with your library card on our website. Simply click the "eBooks" box in the top left corner of the page or by clicking here. From there you can log in with your library card number and four-digit pin number.

 

You can browse the collection, borrow with your library card, and enjoy on your computer, tablet, smartphone or eReader device. Most borrowed eBooks and audiobooks can also be enjoyed immediately in your web browser. Users with smartphones or tablets can install  the Libby app to directly download titles to their device. No matter how you plan to enjoy, titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

Other Lending Programs

 

You can also access eBooks and audibooks through other libraries. All residents of Pennsylvania are eligible for Free Library of Philadelphia (FLP) library card which you can apply for online.

 

The Open Library also offers downloads to anyone with a free account.

 

LibriVox offers free, downloadable public domain audiobooks.

There are also exchange programs for individuals to trade ebooks (one time each, and only some books are covered): Lendle.com, and BookLending.com for Kindle.
