Susquehanna County Reads is a community reading program established by the Library. The community is invited to read the chosen book together and participate in programs inspired by the book.

 

2016 title - Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

2015 title - The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
2014 title - Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck
2013 title - The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
2012 title - The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
2010 title - The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane
2009 title - My Antonia by Willa Cather
2008 title - To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
2007 title - The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

Registration will be open for this year's Susquehanna County Reads on July 15! You can sign up at any location, as well as the Pratt Memorial Library in New Milford.

Registration will be $5 and includes a copy of the book.

 

  • Wednesday, Aug. 14, 6:30 p.m.: Book discussion at the Susquehanna County Library, Montrose.

  • Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1 p.m.: Book discussion at the Forest City Library.​

  • Wednesday, Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m.: Showing of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn film at the Susquehanna County Library, Montrose.

  • Thursday, Sept. 5, 3 p.m.: Book discussion at the Susquehanna Library, Susquehanna.

  • Sunday, Sept. 15, 3 p.m. Book discussion at the Hallstead-Great Bend Library, Hallstead.

  • Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2 p.m.: Showing of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn film at the Susquehanna Borough Conference Room, Susquehanna.
