Isaac Walker Gives His 8th Birthday to the Library |
Isaac Walker, a young resident of Dimock, decided to do something special for his eighth birthday. Instead of getting presents for himself, he asked his friends to give presents to the Susquehanna County Library. His parents, Kristin Sanner and Bill Walker, were supportive and proud--and the library staff and board are thrilled. "Isaac's been coming here since he was a tiny baby," says Susan Stone, Administrator/Librarian, "and we're used to him picking out dozens of books on every visit. Now he's bringing us resources to help others!" Isaac's birthday presents to us included books for the collection, toys for the children's room, and money to help support services to all county residents. "It's especially heartwarming and inspiring to see a child be so supportive when we're facing tough times with the state budget," added Mrs. Stone. Please join us in thanking Isaac and wishing him a happy eighth birthday!
