We began the afternoon by reading the story Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge. In the story Miss Nancy, a resident of a retirement home, has lost her memory and her young neighbor Wilfrid sets out to help her find it.
We talked about what a memory is and then tested our memories with a few simple games.
When it was decided that memories are stored in our brain, we used different colors of clay to build a model of a brain.
Students practiced what they had learned by playing a memory lotto game and assembling a puzzle of a brain.

Visit this website for more information and activities about brains, memory and nueroscience.
