Join us for these special Summer Reading programs at the Forest City library location! Click "Read More" if the calendar does not display.

Programs will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30am. Mrs. Mary MacElhinney and Mrs. Joan Skarbez will be reading each week and there will be many special guests.

Wednesday, June 20th, 10:30am - Campfire Kickoff, upstairs at the borough building; presented by Mary Beth Manns and Donna Horn

Wednesday, June 27th, 10:30am - A Deam Come True presented by Beverly Bennett

July 4th: CLOSED for the holiday

Wednesday, July 11th, 10:30am - Night Stories and Swamp Stories

Wednesday, July 18th, 10:30am - Bead Program upstairs in the borough building, presented by the Portable Playhouse. All children will learn how to make book markers and also get to see the world's largest necklace. It will be in the Guinness Book of Records this year! Presented by Anne Corey and Richard Dengel.

Wednesday, July 25 - Book Give away and a program about dreams presented by 4th grade teacher Mrs. Bolcavage, Teacher of the Year

Wednesday, August 1st, 10:30am - Big Dipper program: a whole hour of stories about stars presented by Mary MacElhinney and Joan Skarbez

Wednesday, August 8th, 10:30am - Fishing Derby and Cook Out at the Browndale Sportsman Club, Browndale, PA - all provided by the Browndale Sportsmen

Wednesday, August 10th: trip to the Kopernik Observatory in Vestal, NY. Two programs will be held at the Observatory that evening. The meteor shower program begins at 7pm. Transportation to be provided by parents.

TBA: Own the Night reading club for 4th and 5th grade, presented by Joan Skarbez
