You can join eleven "Dear Reader" online book clubs, ranging from Good News (Christian-themed novels and non-fiction) to Pre-Publication (books that aren't even out yet!) With Mystery, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Audio, Business, Science Fiction, Horror, Romance, and Teen clubs, there's something for everyone. These clubs are completely free--all you need is an email address (don't have a computer? You can still get free email service at the library.) Every weekday morning you'll receive a short read from a current book--about 5 minutes' worth. The books are selected by a committee as being especially enjoyable. For most clubs, each Monday starts a new book (a few clubs are bi-weekly). When the week is up, if you'd like to continue reading the book, simply request it online (you can also email or call your local library). What's more, each club has an online book discussion forum where you can talk about the books.

Since there are so many clubs, we can't afford to purchase each and every title. We get the most popular (Fiction, Mystery, Good News, Non-Fiction, and Romance), but rely on requests to decide which other titles to get.
