Our program began with the story of The Birdwatchers by Simon James. We then enjoyed an interactive Powerpoint presentation about various birds that live in our area with the students revealing the diverse habitats, nests, diets, and migratory habits. Adjourning outside we proceeded to construct birdhouses and summer suet feeders. There was also a game table filled with fascinating bird trivia. The finale was a drawing in which two lucky participants won a bluebird house kit made by Jim Kessler, the Susquehanna County Forester.
