Because of budget cuts, until further notice the branches will close at 5pm most days [1 evening hour was restored--see below], 1pm on Friday, and will be closed on Saturday.
Open Monday-Wednesday, 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm; Thursday, 9am-1pm and 2pm-6pm; Friday, 9am-1pm
Closed on New Year's, MLK Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Flag Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Election Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas
We close at 5pm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and at 1pm on New Year's Eve
The Forest City Branch Library opened in 1967. The collection
is housed in the Borough Building on Main St. A wide range of
materials of all kinds is available to borrow, and evening and
weekend hours allow patrons who work during the day to use the
library facilities. Active Pre-school Story Hour and Summer Reading
programs provide education and entertainment for children.
