Because of budget cuts, Outreach Services will be closed on Fridays until further notice.

Open Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm
Closed on New Year's, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas
We close at 5pm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and at 1pm on New Year's Eve (except when it falls on a Friday, as it does in 2010)

The Outreach Services department loans books, videos, and other items to special populations within Susquehanna County.

Books-by-Mail is a service for anyone who has difficulty coming to the library for any reason. Books and other items are mailed to the patron's house, along with a postage-paid envelope to return them in. However, due to the decrease in state funding, it is necessary to institute an annual fee of $35 to defray the mailing costs. For more information or to sign up, please view or print our Books-by-Mail flier.

For parents who teach their children at home, Outreach Services provides special borrowing privileges, assistance in selecting books within a curriculum, and monthly programs during the school year. Visit the Homeschool Services page for more information.

Outreach Services also lends collections of books to teachers for classroom use, and extends services to daycare centers, nursing homes, the county correctional facility, and many deposit stations across the county.

Outreach Services Staff:

  • Mary Beth Manns, Outreach Services Librarian
  • Donna Horn, Assistant Outreach Librarian
  • Liz Holbert, Outreach Assistant
