Sun Shines on Diabetes Walk | Print |  E-mail

An overnight downpour cleared just in time to continue the annual Diabetes Walk tradition of no rain! The walk, organized by SCHS&FLA staff to honor a late co-worker, was held on Saturday, May 8th. All proceeds (over $4,000 and counting) benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Click here for details and photos.

You can mark your 2011 calendar for next year's Walk: May 14th (always the second Saturday in May).

Great news: DVD FEE REMOVED as of May 1st! | Print |  E-mail

The Board of Directors agreed to periodically review the new circulation policies instituted at the beginning of the year. After evaluating usage and revenues, the Board has voted to remove the $1 DVD fee as of the first of May! Of course, we accept donations at any time, and if the fee was no hardship for you, please consider continuing to make a donation when you check out... but that is your choice and no longer a requirement. Please spread the word that everything is free to borrow once more! (Fines on DVDs are still $1/day overdue, but the loan period is 2 weeks and they can be renewed unless another patron is waiting.)
