White Elephant Sale now accepting donations | Print |  E-mail

The Blueberry Festival's popular White Elephant sale (Saturday only, August 2nd, 9am-4pm) is accepting donations now through Monday, July 28th. Please donate only items that are clean and in working condition. We cannot accept clothing, computers, exercise equipment, or heavy furniture. It will be a great help to us if you bring items before Monday, July 28th.

In good weather, leave items down behind the yellow building at Montrose Motors, outside the garage doors, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. For other times, please phone 570-278-2923 for someone to open the garage door for you. Please do not bring White Elephant items to the library--thank you!

Book donations (please click here for guidelines on acceptable donations) can be brought to the library until July 25th.

We also need handcrafts of any type (don't need to be blueberry themed), which can be brought to the Montrose Library. We will also be looking for bakers and for volunteer workers. Call 570-278-1881 for more information. Thank you for your support!

"Christmas in August", an arts and crafts festival, will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, one block from the Village Green in Montrose, during the Blueberry Festival. Proceeds from table rental will be donated to the Library and Historical Society. The Festival often receives requests from crafters to set up at the Festival, but all proceeds from Festival booths go to the Association. If you are interested in renting a table, read on for details.
